WHAT IS A CONSTRUCTION DAILY MATERIALS WORKSHEET?
This is a basic construction daily materials worksheet. As the Art Department Coordinator I created it for the movie ‘Basic’ with John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson. We had a tight budget, I used this form to input day cost factors for the construction department. It was a case of several departments running out of money and taking funds from Peter to pay Paul situation. In this case it was several added builds and filming in the country of Panama.
We had a construction daily materials worksheet for each set directly connected to a master Art Department budget Excel Spreadsheet. The design and usage was extremely basic but worked well. We stayed under budget, just barely.
It covered the following:
- Set #
- Date
- Vendor Name
- Invoice Number
- P.O. Number Description
- Method of Payment
- Total Amount
- Audited (Amount)
- Total Expenditure
